A New Year

Happy New Year!

The boys are still enjoying all the fun things they recieved for Christmas and Kevin and I have pretty much gotten rid of all the "Christmas Clutter" that fills up the house during Christmas other than the tree. We are enjoying the sweet smell of drying needles just a few days more before the tree is removed and the house is clear of all evidence of Christmas. This year has brought us only 3 inches of snow...which is nothing...the outside is completley devoid of all signs that it is winter in New England except for the lack of leaves on the trees. I have been enjoying it as this has been the first winter since moving to the Northeast where my feet are not cracked and dry...I had almost forgotten what it feels like to have nice feet in the winter!

Cole celebrated Christmas by getting his first tooth, and number two followed shortly thereafter. Kevin's major project that he has been working on for the past 5 months (late into the night almost every night) is finally coming to a close in the next 5 days which will free up much of his time. Fortunately, he spends much of his time working at home so the boys and I don't miss out on having him around!

January 27th will mark 6 years of marriage for us, which we normally celebrate by taking a vacation but it will have to forgone this year but with good cause as we will be at the hospital with the hopes of delivering a healthy baby girl during that time frame. My parents are coming out to help out with the boys and it will be nice for them to be able to spend some time with the boys as our kids only see their West Coast family once every one to two years!

As Kevin and I enter into the 7th year of marriage and life together, I am hoping that 2007 will mark the beginning of a season of fullfilled dreams and rest filled with the joy of new experiences! We truly hope for a happy and new year for all!

  • Beautiful Entry! How exciting that you guys are going to have a little daughter in such a short time, they are absolutely wonderful! Our boys are so lively and we love them dearly but there is something about having a little girl that is just so different and I'm sure your boys will just adore her! Aidan (3 1/2) saw the pictures of your two oldest boys opening presents and asked, "are they twins?" I thought that was funny. You probably get that alot, we do too. People always ask and then look a little closer and realize they are different sizes but your boys look so much alike! Bless you as you prepare for this new birth and recovery, we will pray that everything goes well and you deliver a sweet little daughter in just the right time! Blessings!

  • So is it just "hopes" that you are having a baby girl or did you actually find out? Either way, I know you will be blessed. Our babies are going to be really really close in age. My date for c-section looks like Feb 12. I love you two!!!
